      Human Factors Engineer/Scientist

As a Human Factors Engineer/Scientist, performed activities such as ergonomic layout and design, work load studies, and simulations in order to generate human-system interface design solutions using appropriate engineering principles. Collaborated with customers and other engineering disciplines to ensure final designs are fully integrated and cost effective. Developed requirements and validation of Human Factors & Ergonomic designs. This was done by conducting activities such as goal-directed task analyses, user research, simulations, and customer and design team interactions.-Human Factors Engineer on multiple aircraft platforms: EA-18G, F/A-18, F-15, F-15 FMS (Foreign Military Sales), and proprietary programs.-Partnered with Engineering teams in developing workload analysis/DFM analysis on multiple aircraft platforms.-Conducted anthropometric assessments of aircrew using Boeing supportability test aircraft.-Initiated Design for Maintainer (DFM) requirements on multiple aircraft platforms.-Partnered with Crew Vehicle Interface (CVI) team in developing aircraft OFPs. -Was a HFE POC at Navy System safety Working Groups (SSWG).Boeing Integrated Defense Systems - St. Louis, MO Show less

Principle Safety - Human Factors Engineering & Ergonomics

A key Human Factors and Ergonomics safety resource. A provider of technical expertise and responsibility for developing, implementing and sustaining all aspects of a Human Factors & Ergonomics program for continuous performance improvement. This is accomplished by analysis, review of source material (rules, codes, laws and standards) and industry practices. Specifically, by evaluating the effects of people’s mental, perceptual, and physical capabilities and limitations on these interactions. Working with engineers to design and build efficient and safe products, machines, tools, and environments. A Principal safety subject matter expert (SME) in Human Factors & Ergonomic serves as a catalyst and expert resource in promoting, developing, an innovative and proactive safety culture. - Leads the Ergonomics Program for Walt Disney World’s Entertainment LOB.-Teamed with Safety and Engineering partners to implement ergonomic design and processes across multiple Lines of Business (LOBs) at Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, resulting in significant decreases in MSD related injuries.-Partnered with Engineering and Safety in developing WDPR standards.-Developed ergonomic requirements for costumed characters and puppets.-Partnered with Engineering and safety on projects to develop designs for load/unload of disable Guests at attractions.
