  In my time I spent at Gosschalks, I gained practical experience in litigation, probate and commercial property. Through the experience, I had to solve problems in lease work, attended meetings with other professions such as accountants and generally gained a feel for solicitor work. This gave me my initial insight to what the law world has to offer. I took my Law course knowledge and quickly realised the difference between practical and theoretical work. This forced me to enhance my skills of problem solving and communication. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Gosschalks, as I explored my curiosity for practical law work. Show less

  Legal Intern

  During my legal work placement, I gained valuable experience across multiple departments, including conveyancing, trusts and probate, family law, and medical negligence. In conveyancing, I reviewed leases, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of property transactions and contractual agreements. In trusts and probate, I had the opportunity to attend client meetings and observe discussions on estate planning and administration. My time in family law involved analyzing bank statements and assisting with legal documentation, giving me insight into financial aspects of family matters. In medical negligence, I reviewed recent cases and learned about the complexities involved in this area of law. This placement allowed me to develop my legal knowledge and gain practical exposure to different legal specialisms, reinforcing my passion for the legal profession.
