      Each summer, Point Loma Nazarene University organizes and supports Summer Ministry Teams (SMT) as they travel to Nazarene affiliated churches and camps. The teams function as worship bands that lead music but also function in whatever capacity is needed, often filling roles of counselors and speakers. As they travel they also promote PLNU Admissions. In the role of Media Tech. on the bilingual team, Holdfast, it was my responsibility to create presentations (in both English and Spanish) using ProPresenter 5 and ProPresenter 6, in close collaboration with worship team leaders, church pastors, sound technicians, and camp directors and speakers. Each location traveled to necessitated adaptability to the systems and resources available, as set up of projectors, media, and monitors was required of me. After setup, it was my responsibility to run the presentations. I was a primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking employees and gladly assisted all employees with their benefits, insurance, payroll, and miscellaneous inquiries. I set up employee 401(k) Plans, and medical, dental and vision insurance; handled various employee and on-boarding documents; Coordinated with company managers/executives and brokers; and managed recruitment/staffing through phone and in-person interviews, and by utilizing recruiting tools (LinkedIn, Monster, Indeed, Zip Recruiter). I also worked with staffing agencies, sought talent through University Recruiting, and introduced ATS capabilities.Other responsibilities and accomplishments:+ Culture and health initiatives champion - hosted an elaborate health/wellness competition for office employees (with over half committed to the 12-week, Q1 program and over 75% retention of participants through to the end); aim was to improve overall health, promote culture, increase morale, and positively effect company costs associated with health insurance policy.
