  I was a graduate research assistant in the Advanced Social Psychology lab led by Dr. Colleen Sinclair. I have worked as an experimenter, surveyor, data analyst, and a project leader. Each semester I led class discussions and gave multiple lectures ranging in length from 15 minutes to 2 hours.During my time in the lab, I held many leadership roles that involved supervising and training undergraduates. My two most notable contributions to the lab were my thesis project and the stalking case coding project. For my thesis (see attached document), I primarily worked alone or with my major professor. For the stalking case coding project, I worked with a team of 22 undergraduates to code 250 public stalking case records. Once the cases were coded and checked for inter-rater reliability, I created an SPSS database and entered all of the data. Show less

  I worked with an epidemiologist contracted by the Mississippi Department of Health at the Social Science Research Center. In 2012, we entered and analyzed data on two statewide surveys regarding the acceptability of HIV testing at MS schools. After the final reports were sent to MSDH, we focused on two HIV needs assessments. We created two needs assessments to be distributed around the state of Mississippi. One was given to the general public and the other to individuals that are HIV+ at Ryan White funded clinics. At the time of my graduation, both needs assessments were still being implemented and data entry was approximately halfway done. Show less
