      Reporting to MD within international group specialising in microporous plastics technology. Responsible for manufacturing output to PSI budget requirements within a department comprising 59 personnel operating a teamworking structure over three shifts and covering extrusion, finishing and quality control of a range of high performance PU membrane products. Implemented business improvement project with a brief to deliver savings of £1.7M, annualised across the business. Installed a management control and reporting system designed to gather precise daily performance data, through short interval controls, feeding weekly/monthly and monthly/yearly operations reporting systems. Delivered projected savings to 6 month deadline through improved control of process inputs and material variances, improvement to unit rates and availabilities and final product quality. Maintained loss accounting and OEE analysis systems, providing input for ongoing programme of improvement across all areas of manufacturing activity.Used ongoing performance data, aligned with projected improvements to forecast monthly/yearly outputs and drive capacity resource planning within the department.
