  Healing in Motion Dance Co-Director

  I led ballet classes for patients with neurodegenerative conditions as a method of rehabilitative therapy. My role as Co-Director also included grant writing, performance planning, and advertising, among other responsibilities. I started as a volunteer for this program in 2018, before becoming Co-Director.

  I took patient vital signs, weight, height, and reason for visit. I also recorded allergies, asked mental health screening questions, performed blood glucose tests, and collected urine samples when needed. Additionally, I helped with women’s health days and assisted with any other tasks requested by providers or staff.

  In the past year, I have been the Project Manager for two healthcare sustainability projects funded by Stanford University grants. The first explored how to leverage the electronic health record to nudge clinicians towards eco-friendly patient care choices (e.g. choosing lower-emission anesthesia and telehealth visits when clinically appropriate). The second has been focused on actionable steps to promote lower-emission inhaler use at Stanford and elsewhere. For both grants, I've performed secondary research, aided publication writing, organized and presented at events, planned meetings, and designed educational materials. I’ve also helped establish national and international working groups with specific healthcare decarbonization aims. Show less
