      In 1994 Patrick commenced his career as a cadet quantity surveyor at Brown & Associates in Wellington. In 1996 he transferred to the associated firm, Page Kirkland, in Sydney, where he was a quantity surveyor and then from 1998 a senior quantity surveyor until moving to their Dubai office as an associate in 2001. In 2007 he returned to New Zealand as a director of Page Kirkland in Auckland, which was restructured into BQH in 2009. He is a founding director of BQH Limited, which has developed a strong reputation for successful projects. The company actively manages knowledge gained from a substantial project portfolio and has best practice technical and professional infrastructure. A regular guest lecturer at universities in Auckland, Patrick has served on the RICS NZ Committee and the NZ committee of the CIOB, as well as providing mentoring to NZIQS students and professional competence assessments. In addition to his professional practice, he lectures in measurement and estimating for the Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying) at Unitec in Auckland. Show less
