  My thesis focused on Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication, leveraging Dedicated Short-Range Communication (DSRC) and Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) to enhance road safety and infotainment services. It explored optimal message routing between vehicles over wireless links by analyzing received power and Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) under different conditions: Line-of-Sight (LOS), Non-Line-of-Sight due to vehicles (NLOSv), and Non-Line-of-Sight due to buildings/foliage (NLOSb/f).The study extended GEMV2, a ray-tracing MATLAB model, to simulate and evaluate V2V wireless links, extracting latitude and longitude data to determine optimal communication paths. 802.11p DSRC Packet Error Rate simulations were conducted, considering distance and SNR as key factors for efficient message routing.This thesis contributes to next-generation intelligent transportation systems, improving vehicle connectivity and enhancing network reliability for autonomous and connected vehicles.
