      Product Management Expert

As the direct support for six (6) Product Managers, I was given many responsibilities to learn the software development life-cycle with many department leaders. While working with these teams, I used many multi-tasking techniques (pre-Agile and Waterfall) to achieve success in launching the products. It takes a gentle nudge to support people in achieving their tasks and career goals. It is a fine art. Keeping all the plates spinning while keeping track of how many are teetering and gently spinning them again. At Autodesk, I was fortunate to have a great mentor and an amazing team of people, where we were responsible for planning, development, coordination, and assisting with project activities through all project phases, working with all departments from software developers, QA to marketing/PR - each year releasing the first greatest Computer-Aided and Design (CAD) software in the World. Our job was to help keep the software project plan on track, on time, and under budget. Show less

Provide strategic vision and forward-thinking leadership, to a diverse eight-to-10- Board of Directors and 20+ person Advisory Board, to establish a high school as a valuable education partner committed to inclusion and student-centered learning. As a potential $15M+/year project, my team and I were successful in preparing for this huge project and obtaining approval from the NC State Board of Education. From the preparation of numerous iterations of the charter document (thorough business plan), presentations for community outreach (our community support was tremendous), and preparing hundreds of READY TO OPEN documents; policies, governance, and business development. Unfortunately, we could not plan for COVID19 to decimate our enrollment. The Office of Charter School revoked our charter. The Board may move forward with plans for a learning center. Blend polished communication and presentation skills with keen business acumen to engage community stakeholders, guide negotiations with education professionals, vendors, and service providers. Orchestrate large-scale projects and events; delivered on budget, within-firm deadlines consistently; inclusive and engaging.Provides authoritative direction, support, and leadership for all Board and Advisory Board projects, working with the NC Department of Public Instruction’s Office of Charter School (OCS) and State Board of Education (SBE) Charter approval.Recognized for expertise in STEM education, training, curriculum-development pedagogy, and computer technology (including skills in Microsoft Office, Khan Academy, email, social media, and cloud networking for business marketing and parent interaction/education, and A+ Hardware Certified). Show less As the Chairperson and Interim Director, I worked with a great team of over 10 Board, Advisory Board members, and many volunteers on numerous yearly fundraising/outreach/informational events and development projects (including documentation and policies) to produce and prepare our high school for the NC Office of Charter Schools and NC State Board of Education. Due to COVID19, our enrollment was destroyed and we were unable to get another 1-year delay. Our charter was revoked. The non-profit Board may revive the high as a Learning Center for Arts and Technology. Show less

      Educator and 4th Grade Teacher

With 18-years as an educator and in a leadership role for the project to create a "student-centered" high school (Kaleidoscope Charter High School - 8-years) I have returned to an even more challenging career shift - PUBLIC SCHOOL Education. It is so much more than I ever expected and I'm up for the challenge! I am working with a youthful and dynamic team of 4th-Grade Teachers who work nights and weekends for their students. I have worked with incredible teams and with committed Montessori teachers, yet this team of 4th-grade teachers has truly impressed me with their unstoppable determination and I'm so glad I'm a part of this team...one day at a time. God-willing the students are patient with me as much as these great teachers! I am looking forward to enhancing the public school EUREKA MATH and HMH English Language Arts with Money Matters, S.T.E.A.M. activities, and Practical Life Skills! We have a fun year ahead!
