  Working my way up to the director level at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), my long-term tenure included spending several years in London within the business turnaround consulting practice (providing financial advice to companies encountering insolvency and reconstruction risks).During my employment as a Director in the London UK practice, I was seconded to one heavy-engineering aviation firm as a CFO, and was a lead investigator on a multinational post-acquisition investigation for two of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies.   After departing from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), I established my own consultancy business which eventually led to my long-term employment at Macquarie Bank (prior to joining I consulted to the bank for six months).As a consultant, I was primarily focused on providing corporate clientele with business development insights relating to investments within the dot.com disruptive innovation space (incl. hospitality and financial services organisations).

  Initially leading business development initiatives for the Macquarie Group in San Diego, USA, I returned to Sydney in 2013. In both locations, my role as a director was largely focused on the establishment and management of growth-oriented asset finance and direct investment portfolios, including within the disruptive innovations space (i.e. global semiconductor equipment, and renewable and distributed energy). This included the building of teams to oversee the corresponding financial activities, as well as the securing of commercially-viable business development partnerships/alliances (including cross-border finance and asset investments).Adept at identifying and seizing new business development opportunities, while upholding robust corporate governance, some of my MOST NOTABLE CONTRIBUTIONS included:>> Securing senior-level buy-in on the bank’s direct investments within disruptive innovations, via business development cases that highlighted long-term financial benefits (e.g. on-roof solar and distributed energy)>> Establishing larger, highly profitable asset finance and leasing portfolios (incl. renewable energy), and strategically leading teams reeling to make direct investments – and helping facilitate Australian green economy benchmarks>> Building high-performing, business-development-led resources/functions, including multidisciplinary and multinational teams that enhanced our ability to secure global asset finance and direct investment customers>> Pushing the boundaries of bank’s asset finance and direct investment plans/objectives, such as constructive change management of risk perceptions via actual outcomes and performance within the global semiconductor leasing and trading industry, and the development of longer-term international agreements (e.g. Japan) Show less
