  As one of the endoscopy charge nurses, I would coordinate daily administrative duties such as nursing assignments and manage workflow. I often train novice nurses on all aspects of the nursing practice while providing support to the rest of the staff. I perform audits of client records and clinical documents for compliance with Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization requirements. The team and I would often analyze statistical data for improvement between procedure room turn-over time.I conduct patient assessments and evaluations prior to procedures, which entails patient history, vital signs, IV starts and hemodynamic monitoring. I collaborate with the anesthesia team and gastroenterologists. As the endoscopy nurse, I lead the team in the time-out process to ensure all necessary information is communicated prior to beginning the procedure.
