  During my time at Fred Meyer, I held the flexible role of grocery parcel, which was responsible for assisting customers in finding products, cleaning the store and stockroom, conditioning shelves, and assisting shorthanded departments. This role was key to ensuring customer satisfaction, and taught me much of what I know about customer service.

  Research assistant

  Under the Chu Lab, my colleagues and I collected, delivered, and later tested nasal swab samples from the public for the Seattle Flu Study. This was done while ensuring participant medical confidentiality, with questions being related to their whereabouts and symptoms. This experience taught me the importance of securing an individual's sensitive information and improved my interpersonal skills through meeting the amazing people of Seattle.
