  I joined TIFR as student intern and it was life changing experience to work there. I have got chance to work on some unique machines and process. I completed my training in Pelletron LINAC facility(PLF) and central workshop. Cryogenics and vacuum systems are used in PLF. I have learnt process of helium and nitrogen liquefaction.Central workshop has some unique machines such as ebeam. Also, there are some other CNC machines connected with Central PC typically known as CAM. I got chance to learn NX CAM and made project utilising this machining set-ups. Show less

  I joined as trainee In National Aspheric Facility at CSIO, Chandigarh and received exposure on state of art machines. It is Central Government R&D institution. I got chance to work on Unique Single Point Diamond Turning(SPDT) CNC Machine which is used to make free form shapes including aspheric, toric etc. SPDT is highly precise machine, it is used to make super finished surfaces also. It is such fine that aluminium cut with this machine shines like glass. Contact type mechanical profiler and Non contact profiler are used to characterise the machined surfaces.During my training, I have learnt above mentioned machines. In addition, I carried out a project “Fabrication of Toric surface”. On basis of this project, l published a paper. Show less
