Projects included product development work, business start ups, joint ventures, M&A work, strategy work (including major projects with parent company BAT Industries and Booz Allen). Periods of a year or more were spent in overseas locations on technical projects and also general management projects such as the integration of new acquisitions. Major projects were undertaken in Spain, France, Portugal and Holland.

BUPA Saudi is now a multi-billion dollar company and the largest insurer in the Middle East. The team I headed at BUPA International was appointed as consultant to the IFC arm of the World Bank to advise on health funding in developing markets. Director of a number of subsidiary companies. General Manager (BUPA International) heading the world’s leading provider of international medical insurance. Services were provided to expatriates and local nationals requiring international medical insurance. BUPA International was consistently the fastest-growing and most profitable part of BUPA. A simultaneous role at BUPA was that of International Development Director with responsibility to take BUPA into new local overseas markets.
