Grew from trainee to a branch manager. Leveraged customer appraisal and loan structuring skills to expand the loan portfolio. Awarded the staff of the year in 1995.

      The Ecumenical Church Loan Fund (ECLOF) is a fund established as a Loan organization by the World Council of Churches Headquartered in Geneva. Head of Operations in Kenya. Developed the operations structure that institutionalized the nation-wide operations. Hosted the global council in 1997 from the global network of ECLOF Chapters. Widened operations and established quality assurance protocols for loanees.

      The United Nations Office launched the Participatory Poverty Eradication Program (PPEP) as an innovative integrated poverty reduction strategy spearheaded by United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the International Labor Organization (ILO). Coordinator for the Northern Kenya operations. Launched the programme in partnership with Government of Kenya. Established harmonious operations in a volatile conflict prone region. Established a traders Saving and Credit Association (SACCO) that brought MSMEs together in credit and saving scheme.       World Vision is one of the largest global relief, development and advocacy organizations working to overcome poverty and economic injustice among children, families and communities. In building sustainable models for communities, World Vision made a strategic decision to launch a micro finance/micro enterprise as a parallel investment entity. First CEO of Vision Fund International based in Kenya. Wrote the initial strategic plan for the launch of Vision Fund in Kenya. Developed the governance structure of Vision Fund in Kenya by recruiting the board, establishing the charter and the policies/procedures. Built the staff and branch network from one to 15 branches and over 200 staff. Initiated partnership agreements with donors and investors. Established an integration methodology for private sector operations and social programming. FCI direct implementation approach is through the Commercial Villages Model.First CEO and Africa Director. Established FCI as an Africa-wide operation with presence in various Sub-Saharan African countries. Led the local organization to become a regional operation with an international governing board and 23 offices, leveraging local knowledge of value chains and market systems to catalyze sustainable rural economic growth and stabilize livelihoods for over 15 Million people.  Grown FCI to a respectable brand which undertakes last mile delivery as an implementing partner, sub-contractor, sub-grantee and technical assistant partner with tens of donor partners.  FCI has designed and successfully implemented 120+ programmes for rural smallholders’ commercialization & livelihood improvement, market access & agricultural trade in 9 countries.  FCI has carried out value chain analysis/research and has undertaken capacity development for farmer organizations in 9 countries of sub-Saharan Africa.  Founded the Regional Agri-Markets Conference for sharing information and show casing innovations for implementers and donors.
