  I was placed in the petrochemical department at Kantey & Templer’s Cape Town branch. I was primarily performing tasks relating to project management. I also received an introduction to computer-aided hydraulic design and was given the opportunity to tag along with a site visit to one of the local fuel depots.

  I worked at their Engineering Centre of Competence where the focus is on the Reliability of Metals.It was a rich learning experience.My main project was to perform the complete material characterization of an e-sheet (the individual lamella which forms part of the rotor of an electric motor, specifically the electric motor of an electric vehicle).
