I taught the following science classes: physical science, geology, chemistry, physics, and AP Physics B. I created the AP Physics B course for the school and doubled the physics enrollment after my first year. In addition, I created my own curriculum for an annual physics field trip to Six Flags Magic Mountain that allowed my physics students to study the velocities, accelerations, and forces of the rides.I also taught the following math courses: algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and some calculus. Science Department Chair/Physics and Astronomy Teacher/NGSS@NSTA Curator/CSTA NGSS Committee

As an NGSS@NSTA Curator, I am a Next Generation Science Standards consultant for the National Science Teachers Association. I critique online physics curriculum and state whether or not it aligns with the new Next Generation Science Standards. If it does not, then I state how it could be modified to meet those standards. The curriculum I evaluate is then available for other NSTA members to use in their classes. As a member of the CSTA NGSS Committee, I am critiquing and revising the California Science Framework as it relates to the NGSS.I am also one of the original group of educators helping the California Department of Education (CDE) and the Educational Testing Service (ETS) write questions for the CA NGSS CAASPP assessment.
