  • Handled more than 60 database of various versions and sizes ranging from 100gb to 3TB.• Task involved on these databases were to Install Oracle, SQL Server software, create and configure the database. Upgrade the database to higher version, Patching and Capacity planning.• Installed Grid agents, discovered the nodes and configured the alerts for monitoring.• Installed and configured 2 nodes RAC using ASM.• Implemented the Physical standby data guard for high availability of the system.• Most of the databases were for SAP and was managed using BRTools.• Planned and configured the backup / recovery process using RMAN for the non-SAP database and online backup for the SAP databases. Carried out the DR activity from the DR location.• Developed scripts using PL/SQL as per the client requirement.• Tuned database parameter, PL/Sql scripts and SQL queries using the statistics received from the STATSPACK report, AWR, ADD M etc.• SOX rules had to be implemented for the new databases coming into the system.• Communicating with the offshore team to resolve the tickets raised through REMEDY application and discuss further maintenance of the database. Need to intervene if there is any hiccups in data replication.SQL Server 2014 has been installed for our Sharepoint Application. Backup and other management jobs are configured for better functioning of the database.Started working on Cassandra NoSQL database hosted on AWS and Openstack.
