  M.Tech. Project Intern in Structural Test Facility (STF) in Directorate of Flight Structures (DOFS) division. •Worked on Project for "Vibration Control of Structures with Viscoelastic Layered Material Damping". Under this project the dynamic behaviour of beams and plates with newly developed viscoelastic Energy Absorbing Polymers (EAP) was investigated•Objective of project was to develop and validate proper Finite Element Analytical model for beams and plates sandwiched with viscoelastic materials, which would be then used to validate systems and saving validation costs•Developed four different analytical models for sandwich beam and plates to carry out harmonic analysis to determine the natural frequencies and modal loss factors and deriving Frequency Response Function (FRFs). The finite element codes were developed in MATLAB® environment. •The analytical models were successfully validated through series of experiments which were conducted on the sandwiched beams and plates in different configurations using Electrodynamic Vibration Shakers with random and Sine sweep functions and Frequency Response Function (FRF’s) were compared with analytical models •Developed analytical models are now being used to validate more complex systems and are avoiding huge validation costs Show less
