      Paramedic

Paramedic operating in a fast paced 911 EMS system. My duties as a Paramedic with EMSA included utilizing liberal protocols, working direct with our local Medical Directors on scene calls, MCI scenes with multi unit response, working closely with our Level-I trauma center, public relations events, as well as Field Training Officer status. While working for EMSA West Devision I was able to fine tune some of my Paramedic skills with the volume of calls that each crew ran in a 12hr shift. While employed as a Full-Time Paramedic with EMSA, we were also responsible for maintaining our own Medic Bags assigned to us. Supervisors would randomly inspect medic bags to insure that all equipment, and meds were properly cared for, all of my inspections were above standard. The call volume provided an accelerated approach to paramedicine, and a entry into Critical Care Medicine where multiple IV pumps were utilized for patient transport, as well as ventilator care was provided with more advanced transport ventilators.
