As the Photographer for this boutique business, I used a mix of digital and traditional film-based cameras. My technical skills and artistic eye to take pictures of people, places, weddings, and events was an asset. My artistic ability to compose a shot, understand framing, colour, and lighting was essential in creating a visually pleasing photograph. The cornerstone of my success was my strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, manage competing deadlines, develop strong working relationships whilst remaining flexible in a fast-paced environment. I also had the opportunity to showcase my awareness of current and emerging trends in photography. Self-motivation and being organised were certainly essential. I decided to scale back my business when I commenced Full Time work at Melbourne Polytechnic. Weniger anzeigen Photographic Services | Creative Consultant | Customer Service & Sales | ManagementThorley Photography was a small boutique photography business specialising in portraiture and events. Thorley Photography provided service to individuals, couples, and families that emphasized and enhanced the quality of their relationships through photographic imaging. Establishing this business from the ground up has been not only a challenge but also a success. As a Business Owner, I needed to bring in new clients, meet with people, talk with customers, and ensure that daily operations such as record keeping and expenses were in check. In this role I managed all the day to day administrative, creative and technical functions of the business; responding to and generating leads, managing customer bookings, coordinating purchasing activities, developing customer contracts, and the onboarding of customers. To succeed in this role I identified business opportunities, reviewed sales, hired staff and developed marketing strategies. I was also responsible for providing photography, videography, editorial and post-production services. Managing product development, curating client images, developing client albums and packages were also part of this position. Weniger anzeigen
