About me

Guided by the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda - “They alone live who live for others, the rest are more dead than alive” - Hiralchandra remains committed to enabling participatory, sustainable, and impactful development models across rural India. Hiralchandra Maru is a development professional with over eight years of experience in the social sector and more than fourteen years of active engagement in volunteering and grassroots initiatives. He currently serves as Assistant Manager at A.T.E. Chandra Foundation, where he contributes to the design and implementation of scalable, community-centric solutions in rural development, particularly in the areas of water and livelihoods. He is an alumnus of the Chief Minister’s Rural Development Fellowship and the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship (2020–2022), programs that have equipped him with a strong foundation in public systems delivery and policy implementation at the grassroots level. Hiralchandra holds a Master’s degree in Social Work, a Certificate in Public Policy and Management from IIM Bangalore, and a Diploma in Labour Laws and Practice from the Mahatma Gandhi Labour Institute, Ahmedabad. I thrive in spaces where policy meets practice, and where empathy fuels execution.
