      The Operations Manager role involves:• Co-ordination of Codema’s activities ensuring achievement of the organisation’s goals and objectives. • Ensuring delivery of projects and activities on time and within budget by promoting and implementing new tools, processes and procedures to ensure continuous improvement and enhancement in the delivery of services. • Manage the flow of information both ways between the Director and staff, through current established periodic review processes or introducing new / additional / enhanced methods of communication / information flow. Show less • I started working with Codema as a project officer in 2001 and was involved in various projects concerning energy in buildings, fuel poverty and energy awareness. • I currently manage an INTERREG IVB NWE project called ACE. The aim of this project is to improve the co-operation of energy actors across NWE, to increase awareness and promote the uptake of Renewable Energy.• I am the local project manager for two European Projects: EESI2020 (which promotes the use of Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) in major cities and metropolitan regions across Europe) and BuildSmart (which is about demonstrating innovative and cost effective techniques and methods for constructing very low energy buildings in various climates, while also aiming to help the innovative methods used to become more mainstream.) Other projects:• Project Manager for IEE “Minus 3%” with the overall responsibility of project delivery and leading 11 partners from Ireland, Northern Ireland, Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. The project’s main aim is to achieve a reduction of 3% in the participating municipalities own energy consumption.• Managed and secured national funding for housing projects that demonstrated high energy efficiency, renewable & sustainability standards under the House of Tomorrow Programme. This involved proposal preparation, contract negotiation, working closely with architects & design team, fulfilment of contractual requirements.• Managed the Dublin activities of the IEE “ROSH” for the development and marketing of integrated concepts for sustainable retrofit of social housing. Activities included market analysis of social housing in Dublin & Ireland, organisation of round table discussions & seminars, overseeing audit of & provisional energy rating for 30 social housing schemes Show less
