  As a paid intern for New Hanover County Schools Television, I worked with a select group of five other interns and two supervisors to run a cable television network. I helped to schedule the programs to air so as to avoid conflicts, I learned a great deal about audio and video technology, and I also wrote, produced, directed, and even starred in our daily news show that would air each day at 5 pm. I also sought out interviews, edited footage, and contacted students to recruit them as volunteers. This position also gave me experience in Sports Journalism, due to our filming the local high school football games and streaming them for public viewing online. Show less
