      Petroleum Supply Specialist - Platoon Sergeant, Petroleum Logistical SergeantConducted periodic inspections of six units to enforce quality assurance of all petroleum products. Inspected 8 terminal facilities for conformity to prescribed standards of safety and cleanliness and for maintenance required. Trained and managed 17 subordinates on pipeline, pump station, terminal installation, dispatching, and schematics. Improved safety within the battalion by implementing a fuel handling procedure program. Coordinated with outside agencies to improve the delivery turn-around time of bulk petroleum. Implemented a bulk tanker inspection program to decrease maintenance downtime. Executed an emergency safe haven plan to minimize damage to battalion assets during a training exercise. Developed a petroleum laboratory training program that reinforced 10 inexperienced subordinates on proper testing procedures. Tracked the receipt, storage, and issue of two hundred thousand gallons of fuel during joint aviation operations with the Canadian government. Organized the recovery of $5 million worth of pipeline and terminal equipment during a training exercise. Constructed and implemented 30 pumping orders with subordinate units to move 10 million gallons of product through pipelines, pump stations, and terminals. Accurately forecasted over 300 million gallons of fuel for operations in Kuwait and Iraq. Designed a database to let fuel managers see their fuel storage capacity and terminal deterioration status, reducing the terminal failure rate by 43% and saving $2 million. Inspected 17 terminal facilities for conformity to prescribed standards of safety and cleanliness and for maintenance required. Developed a retrograde program for contracted vehicles, saving the government $3 million. Coordinated the movement of over 300 million gallons of fuel from Kuwait to Iraq.
