  As part of my journalism degree, I undertook a three week internship at the Warrnambool Standard in 2013. At the Standard, I was able to see the inner workings of a real newsroom and was welcomed with enthusiastic mentors. I was lucky to have a variety of articles published, for both The Standard and The Warrnambool Extra. My duties included interviewing via phone and in person, writing news stories, accompanying photographers, taking notes, creating angles for stories and networking within the industry and the public. My duties included coffee runs, distribute mail, image research, photocopying, printing, shopping runs, collect items for fashion department from CBD, office organisation, collecting models from reception, recreated stockist list, researching and assisting in the fashion cupboard.

  In October 2014 I interned at Channel 10 for one week. My main duty was to observe the journalists in action. I was also given the opportunity to assist with interviewing, take notes and assist with camera equipment. This gave me great insight into television reporting and fuelled my journalism knowledge further.

  In 2014 I undertook a three week internship with the Geelong Advertiser. My duties included interviewing, writing news stories, assisting other journalists with extra tasks, conducting vox pops and researching. I completed my internship with 24 published articles and great industry contacts.
