I graduated one full academic year early with a bachelor's degree in Communications, Advertising, and a minor in Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology.

      In January of 2018, I began working with YCK Accounting Services, Inc. as an office assistant. My duties included organizing files, filling out paperwork, directing inbound phone calls, greeting clients, working with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks, and running errands as needed. I, sadly, left this job in August of 2018 as I was moving out of town for my first year of college.

      In October of 2019, I began working at The Village Inns of Blowing Rock as a front desk clerk while enrolled as a full-time college student. My duties included maintaining and monitoring a database for five inn locations, providing excellent customer service to a diverse groups of guests both locally and internationally, keeping the lobby clean and organized throughout my shifts, compiling accurate business data into Microsoft Excel, and corresponding with managers, housekeeping, and other front desk staff.       In October of 2022, I found myself wearing multiple hats within GCPC, working with Administration, NC Pre-K, Smart Start, Communications/Outreach, and Finance. I was promoted to Operations Coordinator as we began to notice my strengths and interests leaned into Human Resources and Operations. While retaining my previous responsibilities, my additional duties now include leading employee onboarding and orientation, scheduling meetings and preparing accurate minutes for various committees, including Board of Directors meetings, processing payroll and maintaining retirement plans, coordinating and monitoring benefits administration, and monitoring, recommending, and updating internal files and the Employee Handbook. Show less After 3 months of working at the Partnership, in November of 2021, I was hired full-time as the Program and Communications Specialist. In addition to my previous responsibilities as the Executive Assistant, my duties included marketing and designing content for social media platforms and quarterly newsletters, ensuring website content is current, accurate, and relevant, preparing and distributing donor acknowledgement letters as well as maintaining donor system, processing annual renewals such as Charitable Solicitation License and Form 5500s, and proving support in locating and maintaining documents for audits. Show less After graduating college, I was fortunate enough to find a job with the Guilford County Partnership for Children as a temp Executive Assistant. In this role, my duties included managing timesheets and expense reimbursement forms, directing inbound phone calls to the appropriate department, supporting NC Pre-K, Smart Start, and Finance Departments, maintaining and monitoring personnel and human resource files as well as NC Pre-K databases, and assisting with planning staff development and trainings.
