      • Address a variety of breakdown repairs working with the various teams of operators whilst being responsible for the safe and continuous operation of a multi-million pound state of the art production facility.• Lead mechanical engineer for all breakdown situation’s for plant, fault finding on high pressure hydraulic systems (up to 300 bar), pneumatic systems, rotating equipment, thermal oil presses, pumps (centre-fugal, gear, diaphragm and mono), compressors, actuators, regulators, belt conveying and chemical mixing systems, boilers and a water treatment plant.• Liaise with production shift manager to achieve the safe and efficient running of equipment in a controlled and timely manner.• Carry out preventative maintenance inspections of equipment using Pruftechnik Condition Monitoring equipment, repairing faults as production allows and reporting findings in to AVANTIS Maintenance, Planning and Fault Analysis system.• Ensure all preventative maintenance inspections assigned to shift have been carried out by fellow shift workers and all findings reported in to AVANTIS Maintenance, Planning and Fault Analysis system.• On planned maintenance shutdown day’s act as lead mechanical engineer for assigned job by ensuring that all tasks are correctly risk assessed and accompanied by a Safe System of Work to achieve the safe and efficient running of equipment in a controlled and timely manner.• Ensure that all parts removed during shift has been booked out with the required job number using AVANTIS Maintenance, Planning and Fault Analysis system.
