      Brigand Arms manufactures the world’s lightest AR-15 hand-guards. The hand-guards are made from carbon fiber braided tubes. The mission of our 6 month senior team project was to develop an automated manufacturing process to improve the manufacturing cycle time, reduce worker involvement required for the process, improve quality and reduce waste. Managed the design and production of the automatic cutting system for the company. The project was a great success for Brigand Arms and the Auburn Engineering asked permission for project to be used as new benchmark. Show less

      Managed the P&L for a 3 million can production line (“Can Line 1”) within the company’s Jacksonville-based Brewery, overseeing associated management, productivity, maintenance, and financial budgets. Managed and developed a team of 20 highly engaged union employees consisting of hourly operators, mechanics, and electricians. Identified and eliminated key production issues through lean manufacturing practices, effective maintenance planning, and process improvement initiatives.• Selected to overhaul an under-performing production line which was formerly included among the company’s nationwide “focus” areas. Identified the opportunity to eliminate packer production process inefficiencies, resulting in a 15% increase in uptime and an additional 15K cases produced per day by the production line. Received direct positive feedback from the Senior Director of Brewery Operations, with the associated resource allocation strategy upheld as an exemplar among Business Process Mangers. • Oversaw a $2M capital expenditure project designed to run 12oz and 16oz cans on a single production line. Led 20+ salary and hourly employees in the installation of new equipment and implementation of standard operating procedures. Exceeded production goals by 6%, delivered capability ahead of schedule, and received recognition from VP-level executive for project outcomes. • Awarded Anheuser-Busch InBev 2018 “Top Performer Award” for outstanding work and achievements through the 2018 year, receiving recognition directly from the company’s Vice President of People and the Brewery’s Senior Operations Manager. • Launched an employee engagement initiative which resulted in the highest engagement score among 12 Brewery divisions. Developed, delivered, and presented to Senior VPs a comprehensive landscape analysis of U.S. home fragrance market to identify and assess key brands occupying non-traditional channels (e-commerce) and other segments not currently measured by SC Johnson. Provided strategic recommendations to successfully compete in the non-traditional landscape and provided potential acquisitions to enhance the company’s portfolio. • Leveraged Nielsen, Profitero, Numerator, Mintel, 3rd party studies, and online research to revise total industry market size and outlook to include non-measured outlets. Uncovered and analyzed an additional $1.7B of previously non-measured landscape.• Utilizing Tableau, created new visualized method to analyze distribution channel and product form combinations to determine the largest growth opportunities for Glade in the non-traditional landscape. The largest channel/product opportunity totaling $23M.• Developed a model to evaluate companies/brands that represent the highest interest to SC Johnson. Identified 10 brands of top interest for strategic insights and acquisition opportunities within the emerging non-traditional landscape. • Constructed 9 themes of highly successful companies within the non-traditional channels (based on operating models and product, price, promotion and place). Provided 5 strategic recommendations for Glade/SC Johnson to win in the non-traditional channels.• Analyzed non-traditional competitors on unobtainable competitive advantages to recommend 4 acquisition targets for SC Johnson.
