The Commercial Print Assignment involved prospecting for and man-aging more complex sales of high speed Xerox duplicators and Digital color technology. The average sale was approximately $70K.80% of sales came from a core group (20%) of printers. The balance of sales was a result of uncovering new opportuni-ties (e.g., convincing commercial printers who traditionally had used off-set press technology to integrate new high speed Xerox duplicator technology).Skill development throughout this assignment was extensive:■ Profit modelling using customer data■ Marketing consulting for start-up print shops■ Knowledge of printing applications■ Polished product demonstration skillsNotable results included:■ Placing the first DocuTech into a commercial print environment on the day the product was launched■ Winning market share away from the key competitor in conjunction with the launch of new Xerox digital colour copier■ Assisting with the effective restructuring of credit policy and the print market■ Acquiring exclusive equipment purchasing agreements with major quick print franchises■ Maintaining an ‘over plan’ performance throughout what is considered within Xerox to be a challenging assignment Show less
