Our collective efforts aimed to fulfill our mission of addressing the unmet needs of individuals experiencing homelessness. Established relationships with State Representatives to advocate for policy change improving access to essential services for individuals experiencing homelessness within Maricopa County.Key Achievements:• Co-Founded and launched the first Street Medicine program in the State of Arizona called Street Medicine Phoenix, which is a multi-university and interprofessional collaboration designed to meet unmet needs for individuals experiencing homelessness within Maricopa County. •Promoted interprofessional development by coordinating student outreach efforts with other academic institutions (i.e., University of Arizona, Arizona State University, Mayo Clinic, Creighton University, Midwestern University, etc.) and health sciences departments.•Successfully authored grants and secured funding from insurance healthcare companies (i.e., Blue Cross Blue Shield, Molina Healthcare, United Healthcare Community Plan, etc.), City of Phoenix, Wells Fargo Bank, and non-profit organizations, including BHHS Legacy Foundation and Vot-ER Community Civic Engagement.       Performed detailed data-analysis initiative to examine and compare sensory hypersensitivities between individuals experiencing Persistent Post-Traumatic Headache (PPTH) and those with migraine. The methodology involved the implementation of targeted questionnaires tailored to assess specific aspects of sensory experiences. Notably, the Allodynia Symptom Checklist-12 was utilized to gauge symptoms of cutaneous allodynia, the Photosensitivity Assessment Questionnaire was employed to evaluate symptoms of photophobia, and the Hyperacusis Questionnaire was instrumental in assessing symptoms of phonophobia.This meticulous analysis sought to provide a nuanced understanding of the unique sensory profiles associated with PPTH and migraine, emphasizing the diverse manifestations of hypersensitivities. By employing validated instruments such as these questionnaires, the study aimed to capture and compare the intricacies of sensory symptoms, contributing valuable insights to the broader field of neurotrauma research.Key Achievements:• Successfully defended my master's thesis to the chair and co-chairs of my research committee, with no revisions required for the published manuscript.• 2018 Neurotrauma Poster finalist and Data Blitz presenter, ranking among the top 42 out of 758 abstracts, was a significant accolade. This recognition highlights the dedication of our Phoenix and Tucson teams in delivering essential health services to underserved and rural communities across Arizona, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.Our collective efforts led to the successful administration of over 51,000 COVID-19 vaccines, including in remote areas with limited access. One notable initiative was our coordinated vaccination effort at the Nogales Port of Entry, where 13 physicians and nurses, along with 40 support staff, administered 3,254 vaccines over a two-day period.
