  I worked at McDonald's part-time as a crew member seasonally during University and throughout my A-Levels which has required me to have good time management.The job role included taking orders, collating the order and making food/drink. This role improved my communication skills and due to the fact the restaurant and drive through can get busy very quickly, I am good at working under pressure too. Additionally team work skills were needed to ensure that everything ran smoothly.

  On work experience at Make Architects, I was able to spend time in the graphics department developing my CAD skills using design software such as Adobe inDesign and Photoshop. I also spent time in the modelling department using equipment such as a laser cutter and vacuum former to produce miniature examples of products to show clients potential design concepts to support architectural drawings.

  Graphic Designer

  As part of the Grads4Nottingham scheme I completed a placement with Nottingham Castle Trust, working in a team with other students from Nottingham Trent University. We were asked to produce educational resources and activities for children, which could be used around the castle, at school, or at home during the lockdown. This involved workshop activities, quizzes and games, which had to maintain aesthetics of the company. Due to lockdown the placement was online and we had to liaise via Microsoft teams, but were still able to communicate effectively and meet all the deadlines. It was a different experience, as we had to work under new conditions, but was enjoyable as it encouraged a different type of creativity that was out of my usual comfort zone. At the end of the placement we had to present to a large group which helped to develop my confidence when presenting. Show less
