      Responsible for administering the Developmental Toxicology research program, which focused on pharmacokinetics, postnatal functional evaluation, and mechanistic evaluations. The division was responsible for implementing and overseeing the National Toxicology Program's (NTP) research and testing activities. Served as manager of the NTP Reproductive Toxicology program from 1978-1980. The division was directly involved in the FDA and EPA's research and development programs. Served as an expert witness and senior advisor to the FDA and EPA on toxicological programs. Directed programs aimed at developing methods to evaluate the teratogenic and toxicologic potentials of chemical compounds in animal systems for estimation of human risk. In addition to presidential functions, remained scientifically active by selective review of data and reports, advising sponsors regarding toxicologic and product development issues, serving as a consultant to federal agencies, publishing scientific papers, giving presentations to various community and scientific organizations, and lecturing at Ashland University.
