  Served as the weekday nightside video editor for ABC affiliate WTVQ, Channel 36 in Lexington, Kentucky. Was responsible for editing VOs and SOTVOs, restoring and gathering video files from DVDs, Beta tapes, ABC and CNN network sites, and archiving the 5, 6, and 11 PM newscasts. Edited video using GrassValley and used ENPS for scripts. Occasionally worked weekend shifts and on Good Morning Kentucky (5-7 AM) and the noon newscast.Aside from editing, I rolled tapes on air during newscasts and occasionally went out on video shoots for news.   Served as the weekend evening news editor for #1 ranking WFTV, Channel 9 Eyewitness News. Profoundly edited, recorded video feeds from photographers, created pre-production graphics using Photoshop, and logged and archived newscast footage. Used the Avid Suite for non-linear editing and iNEWS was the program for news scripts. Pulled video from network sites ABC Newsone and CNN Newsource for national content, and also retrieved and sent video through ABC FTP.

Was a recipient of Kelly Services’ green lanyard and golden ‘K’ pin, the highest award, for excellence during an observation in May 2015.

Programs utilized for instruction included Canvas, Google (Drive, Docs, Slides, Classroom), Microsoft 365, Edmodo, Kahoot, and Quizlet. Also served as the award-winning Minority Leadership Scholars leader and co-sponsored the newly formed Black Student Union, and two time placing D.E.F.inition Hip Hop Dance team. Show less

  Grew the West Orange division of the Teen Achievers program and provided innovative, group based career and college mentoring to minority students at West Orange High School. My presentations were used as models to other sites within the Orange, Seminole, and Osceola County network. I scheduled meeting times, selected appropriate lesson plans using the 6to16 curriculum, sent out correspondence to participants and parents, and scheduled guest speakers to share knowledge about their respective fields. I also participated in community service and cultural activities with the Teen Achievers, as well as chaperoned college tours. As a Teen Achievers chaperone, I visited a total 20 college campuses across Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Show less
