      - Responsible for all operations of the main office and sub offices of Cabo Delgado incl. management of +90 staff in program and support teams (directly managed 9 staff/departments), coordination with partner NGO and other agencies including COSACA, representation of Save The Children (SCI) with Government, development of country strategies, fund raising and capacity building- Manage SCI partner implemented programs for sectors such as Education, Food Security and Livelihoods, Health, Nutrition, Shelter, WASH, Child Rights and Protection, Advocacy for IDPs, returnees and host communities during three major shocks (conflict, Covid response and natural disasters). Donor platform included ECHO, Sida, UNICEF, NORAD, BHA among othersAchievements:- Oversaw the expansion into new sectors including Health, Nutrition and Advocacy and expanded the operations from a single base to five northern newly liberated and southern districts . As a result, increased the # of staff from 35 to +90 members and have almost tripled the response beneficiary reach. This has led SCI operations to be the largest NGO response in Cabo Delgado- Managed to advocate for funding of 16.5 Mil USD in the 1st year, on the 2nd year, advocated on the abilities of the field office to lead on the education sector and obtained a budget of EUR 6 million, which was 90% of the total allocated under pillar 2 (EIE) ECHO funded projects- Introduced technological innovations into the programming including replacing paper-based activities and registeration with tablets, as well as usage of environment friendly equipment and gadgets- Established and revived the Area INGOs forum at province level inclusive of all humanitarian/development INGOs. As well as elected as Area Humanitarian team (AHCT) representing INGOs that are operational in Cabo Delgado- Co-established the PSEA network in Cabo Delgado with UNHCR, finalized the ToR and trainings for staff and partner focal points, as well as advocated for funding Show less
