  The Emergency Action Center is overseen by the Bureau of Security Operations. This Bureau provides oversight of security practices and procedures at all of Florida's correctional institutions. My job duties include collecting information from the field regarding serious incidents and disseminating that information to executive staff via telephone and Blackboard, an integrated paging system. My job duties also include completing warrants and background checks, as well as entering and canceling warrants for escaped inmates via NCIC/FCIC, and initiation of appropriate incident management steps as directed by executive staff. In the case of a major disaster or emergency situations, EAC integrates with the Emergency Operations Center as a Central Command Center. EAC also acts as the after-hours liaison for the Florida Parole Commission, and Duty Officers are charged with confirming absconder warrants and confirming the status of offenders on felony probation through FPC for outside law enforcement agencies.
