       Serves as an advisor to the Fire Chief and/or other administrative officers, shift commanders, and company commanders on matters pertaining to fire prevention, fire investigation, and fire safety. Enforces all applicable codes in Norwich Township, the City of Hilliard, and Brown Township; makes inspections as required; investigates fires as requested by the Fire Chief, Fire Captain, or Scene Commander; keep up-to-date records on building inspections, and all other activities of the Fire Prevention Bureau. Perform fire safety programs for the public, schools, health care facilities, and businesses when requested or required. May be assigned the duties of the Chief Fire Prevention Officer during absences of the Chief Fire Prevention Officer. Perform fire safety programs for the public, schools, health care facilities, and businesses when requested or required. May be subject to recall for all types of emergencies. May serve as a Public Information Officer (PIO).
