      Singer/Pianist

I sing and play piano in clubs, coffeehouses, bookstores, theaters, music halls, and other places. I play almost exclusively my own compositions, but can do covers. I've performed in various states all over America and also in Siena, Italy, where I studied abroad.

Freelance Music Director, Performer, and Educator
    • Milford High School

      Feb 2012 - now
Music Director/Orchestra Conductor for the Musical

I come in about eight weeks before the show opens, teach the kids music theory while I teach them the music of the show, and conduct and rehearse the pit orchestra of professionals. Because of the wide range of ages and abilities (high school kids onstage, professional adults in the pit orchestra), I have to create a good balance and have a specific, structured teaching style that allows everyone to do their best. My job is to collaborate with every member of the cast, crew, production team, and orchestra to create a positive, moving musical experience. I also do odd jobs - e.g. I'm the dance captain, I work on the kids with scene work and characterization, and I run rehearsals for even plays without music when the director needs me to. I love every second of working with those kids! Show less

    • Gymboree Play and Music

      May 2012 - Jul 2015
      Music Teacher

I taught "Mommy and Me" style Music classes as well as Play and Learn classes. I taught kids as young as 3 months and adults as old as 75 years. Most of the people I taught came from other countries and spoke English as a second language. The lesson plans changed every two-three weeks and covered a different region of the World and/or genre of music each time. I am sad to say the business closed in July of 2015.
