Continued Advanced Individual Training at Ft Jackson, South Carolina in the summer of 1997 after graduating high school. Enlisted additional duties include: Duty Appointed Retention NCO, NBC Sergeant (maintaining unit equipment and ensuring assigned personnel have the proper personal protection equipment and planning training for field training exercises), Squad Leader, Detachment Sergeant. Deployed in 2005 to Iraq as a Disbursing Agent assigned with the daily accountability of up to $12 million of US currency and other negotiable instruments (checks, money orders, and military pay records for casual payments disbursed). Commissioned a 2LT as a Finance officer and took command of a detachment that grew from 5 to 26 personnel in two years assigned before the second deployment to Iraq. The finance detachment deployed into split operations where I was in charge of office operations for a 10 personnel team at Forward Operations Base Warhorse from April 2010 to March 2011. in addition to being the Officer in Charge, I was the Disbursing Agent assigned with the daily accountability of up to USD $20 million in Iraqi Dinar, and monthly accountability of up to 26 paying agents assigned to our finance office.
