  I worked on:The initial setting up and maintaining the only efficient Geographic Information System in Anglo American throughout Africa. The new gold exploration projects I created and maintained included Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geology, Landform etc. In Ghana I worked on 4 local exploration projects, a country target generation project and a West African regional exploration project simultaneously.I created: A geological/geochemical GIS geodatabase for the entire country, using public domain maps.I helped solve projection problem in Ghana where imperial feet where used, resulting in an unusual shift in the data.Supported Geologists, Geochemists and Geophysics, later including Burkina Faso, Cote d’Ivoire and Mali offices withArcView/ P.C. ArcINFO related problems.I helped develop: A new target generation process using Spatial Analysis; this was the first for gold exploration.Mineral intelligence database was established for Ghana and later for West Africa.I had to maintain hardware and software for all GIS and other computers, as support in these remote locations was problematic.In these offices I worked extensively with P.C. ArcInfo, ArcView, Lotus SmartSuite, Microsoft Office, Bluemarble, Geocalc & Transformer. Show less
