The Youth Ambassadors Program brings together top high school students from across the Western Hemisphere to promote mutual understanding, increase leadership skills, and prepare youth to make a difference in their communities. In Costa Rica as a Youth Ambassador, I will engage in experiential learning activities; leadership trainings; civic participation at the community level; mentoring by community, business, and NGO leaders; engaging with local host families; and volunteering.
