Assists internal and external customers with various inquiries such as the status of their job applications, general questions regarding hr needs such as benefits, jobs or whom to contact in Human Resources. Conduct and assist with scheduling pre-employment physicals for onboarding candidates. Assist with the recruiting process by reaching out to other governmental agencies for public record requests in potential candidates, assists with conducting background checks on candidates via multiple methods such as pinellas & hillsborough county, fdle, florida and national sex offender sites. Assists with notarizing of official city documents such as annual pension entitlement forms, medical waivers, and affidavit of domestic partnership. Assists with scheduling of interviews for internal hr positions as well as external positions for other city departments. Assists with producing information for various projects such as completing salary surveys for city manager and city attorney over multiple year period, as well as market surveys with comparator municipalities. Makes New hire orientation and new hire benefit packets ensuring the proper paperwork and documentation is completed. Completes retiree mail outs, as well as benefit term letters to those who leave or retire from the city.
