  Janet and I were founding board members of the Center for Fathers and Families, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Their mission is to strengthen families and build communities in the Greater Sacramento region by offering a network of programs & services that lead to family growth, enrichment, and empowerment.   As we looked around our community, we saw many programs for women and children who needed support and encouragement, but very few programs for men. Many boys grow up today without a good male role model to teach them about family, responsibility, and personal development. They grow to become men who may want to be a good husband and father but have no idea how to do it. The Center was created with Dr. Matt Crain to support and encourage current and future husbands and fathers and give them the training, tools, and support their families need them to have. After-school programs teach responsibility and family commitment to the next generation of young men. Special programs teach anger management, parenting, and other critical skills to committed fathers from all walks of life. Hundreds of lives are touched every day by our programs making a lasting difference in the lives of children and their families.I served on the board for six years and today I support the Center in other ways, but I have always been involved at some level.   I build specialized teams for high tech projects. I train and manage teams of engineers, technicians and outside vendors to install, optimize and maintain major communications systems including small and large wireless communications systems for police, fire and small business. My duties include speaking to groups during training programs, business presentations and other forms of public speaking. A Motorola Premiere Partner, Delta Wireless provides a variety of radio systems, consoles, E911 centers, repeaters, mobiles, portables, accessories, cameras, video recorders and video systems. As a Certified Electronics Technician (CET), certified Project Manager, and Delta's lead trainer, I write, teach and facilitate technical training courses in high tech communications and Project Management, provide Project Management services to California government agencies, and manage large wireless communications and dispatch projects.Major Wireless Communications projects I have managed (or currently manage) include: $2 million project for AT&T (managed for Mericom Corporation) $1 million project for Tuolumne County $1.3 million project for Merced County Show less

  I Love To Help

  In 2016 I went on a personal campaign to raise money for the Center for Fathers and Families in California to help children in struggling families (I was raised by a single mother in a poor family, so I know something about what it's like). Through the efforts of me and my wife, we raised over $1400 that provided support for five families who really needed to know that someone cared. By 2019 our organization was instrumental in helping 200 families at Christmas. Each one of these were a Christmas day for children and their families that wouldn't have happened if we hadn't of helped! I invite you to choose a charity that you are passionate about and learn how to make a difference for them and your community! You can make more of a difference than you know. :-)I built a team to help children in need. I Love to Help is an organization dedicated to helping children in difficult circumstances and their families. During the months of October, November and December, I Love To Help raises funds for families that have hit hard times; to give them a Christmas that would not be possible otherwise. Working with our partner nonprofits, we pay utility bills, buy food, and provide gifts to families with children that struggle to keep their house warm or provide school clothes for the kids.
