  As part of the new Operational Planning & Improvement Team, creating, improving and monitoring our plans for routine and one-off work streams to assist wastewater operations. Managing a specialist team to facilitate the implementation of business improvement solutions, across the Wholesale Water and Wastewater Directorates. Assisting business owners with developing their project plans, and forecasting and tracking the financial and non-financial benefits of changes. Delivering a business change project, to improve operational resilience and customer service across the Southern Water region. Primarily a focus on front line risk management and communication, as well as the introduction of new business tools and core skills. Structured problem solving with teams at local and regional level. Creating and leading a team of technical specialists to support Wastewater Above Ground Operations across Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Providing day-to-day support for wastewater treatment, while also creating an Optimisation team to focus on treatment process efficiency and improvements. Management of the commercial tankered waste business across the Southern Water Region, with significant growth. Line management of Trade Effluent, Cess and Commercial Tankered Waste teams, responsible for a combined income of £11M pa.Overview of all wastewater treatment compliance with Environmental Permits across the Southern Water region. Managing process scientists, trade & waste team, optimisation, R&D, sludge HACCP and final recycling to land for Wastewater Operations.
