      Assign work to all other team members as it comes in through the automated ticketing system.Provide operational direction and leadership for all UNIX administrators. Level load all resources using their strengths and weaknesses to maintain the highest levels of service while also keeping the team moving in the right direction.Maintain SLA information for the weekly calls discussing service levels.Act as escalation point in a 24x7 environment with other operational leads for different disciplines. This includes being the point person for any issues that arise requiring multiple resources and customer notification.       Ran the Proof of Concept and subsequent environment redesign for EMC NetWorker software to be deployed on LINUX instead of the current AIX implementation due to several issues that were seen with the AIX kernel.Upon joining the team in July of 2013, there were approximately 9,300 servers in the environment and a daily backup success rate of about 94%. While this is above the industry standard, we have pushed to get better results on a daily basis and as of March, 2016 we are running a daily average of 99.2% and backing up over 17,000 servers globally.DPA 6.2 implementation and configuration. AIG has been at the cutting edge with DPA software development often working hand in hand with the software engineers to fix bugs as they have been found.Work with the Legal and Compliance teams to ensure that all of the Corporate policies are adhered to. Also work closely with them for information related to AIG policies and/or data required for an ongoing litigation. Run quarterly self-audits of our environment to ensure that all servers that should be backed up are, and that the configurations of those backups pick up all of the data that should be. This self-audit is then used to update any discrepancies in the CMDB.Answer to approximately 75 audits per year. As of March, 2016 there have been zero audit fails as all data being requested has been accounted for and evidences provided as required.Orchestrated the BURA Get-To-Green project where we were finishing up the consolidation of all AIG business entities into the AIGGS IT organization which consolidated all of the IT for the businesses. During this time the BURA team had to arrange for the addition of operational backups for over 3,400 servers bringing the total up over 13,000 as of September, 2014. This number has since increased to over 17,000 and is expected to be continue growing to over 20,000 by next year. Show less
