      My fields of interest and my main skills regard mathematics, statistics, machine learning, digital communications and signal processing. I am focusing my researches on phase noise in optical fibers, while my minor topic of research is Synthetic Aperture Radar.

      I was the director of a 40 polyphonic choir with four voices. We started as ~20 people in 2007 and we have continuously improved in skill and people until now. Our repertory is holy music, afro-gospel and polyphonic choral. We sing at major celebrations in our church and we do charity concerts to raise funds for the association "Il Sahel Fiorirà" in order to build schools and infrastructure in Camerun.

      I have finished in January 2016 my PhD in Information Technology at Politecnico di Milano.My fields of interest and my main skills regard mathematics, statistics, machine learning, digital communications and signal processing.My main research topic is about digital communications issues, especially regarding phase noise modelling, Bayesian tracking applied to Information Rate estimation and demodulator design. I have studied also MIMO channel estimation and bit and power loading algorithms, proposing new solutions. In my minor research topics, I have first developed a machine-learning algorithm, where also statistics is applied to improve peer based rating systems, like the academic review process. At last, I have briefly studied the impact of spectrum holes and weather impairments in Synthetic Aperture Radars in a Politecnico di Milano spinoff, TRE. Show less

Show less With time, I became a critical core research stakeholder for Nokia’s mobile networks R&D business unit, landing multiple of my research into new products and features.- Contributed to the 5G positioning activities inside the company, leading the 5GCAR Vulnerable Road User Protection algorithm development and integration, showcased in July 2019. My research on joint time of arrival (ToA) and angle of arrival (AoA) led to demonstrators and Nokia’s decision to productize it.- Ramped up algorithm design and investigations in the area of radio resource management, delivering multiple disruptive features’ development before their implementation in Nokia’s L2 packet scheduler. I contributed in designing forward-looking 5G orchestration frameworks for network slicing that are now being studied for deployment.- Acquired system and link level simulation expertise, allowing to investigate my ideas in complex and realistic setups.- Protecting multiple business-critical concepts and standard essential ideas with patents.- Supporting colleagues and supervising students on side-topics, leading to new internal/external projects, and publications.
