  After working at Spectrum Airways for a few years I was promoted to the weekend supervising dispatcher. This role had me supervise the flight school on weekends as those were the days off that the majority if not all management staff were not working. Along with additional responsibilities placed upon me there was also an increase in handling the operations and maintenance aspect of the flight school including pre planning aircraft inspection days as well as working the flight schedule to accommodate both planned and unplanned maintenance. This role also included supervising the current ramp attendant as well as performing standard dispatching duties. Show less As a ramp attendant it was my duty to provide aircraft service such as fueling and oiling before training flights as well as other tasks such as administrative duties as well as flight following. When working the closing shift aircraft would be taken offline for the evening and prepared for the following morning, all of which was completed with little to no supervision. I worked this position outside through all seasons and developed a new appreciation for other outdoor airport workers. Once moved into a dispatch role my duties shifted to dispatching aircraft for a given flight as well as perform more desk style duties including tending to students and other customers billing and scheduling.   Previously, I was employed as a line pilot with Cape Air transport in the Torres strait, flying predominantly on the BN-2 Islander. Flying in this part of the world was not only challenging with the short runways, unpredicatble weather and high traffic volume, but also quite rewarding servicing the local communities and working as an essential travel service.

  I am worked as a line pilot for Australia by air, based out of the busy aerodrome of Bankstown. This role was full of new learning experiences, in which I operated fast light twins IFR in some of the most congested airspace in the country.
