Overall responsibilities include ordering merchandise for 3 deliveries a week. Check in vendors, overseeing invoices with correct retail, making sure daily paperwork and money equal the books, creating and logging daily reports and deposits. Stocking shelves and coolers, cleaning all merchandise and hardware, rotating product, checking for out of dates, daily temperature logs are correct and current, maintaining email communications from head office. Responsible for maintaining daily inventories on roughly $180,000 in merchandise along with 16 fuel pumps. Printing and reviewing all sales, planners and plan-o-grams from marketing. Make sure that the pricing on all products are updated to reflect sales and promotions. I hire and train all my own associates and helped train an M.I.T. who successfully runs her own store now. I opened the store at 5:00 a.m. every weekday, ran register, prepared breakfast, balanced daily books, made daily deposits, made weekly schedules for both locations. Priorities also included stocking and cleaning. This was a privately owned business so I was able to set retail sales on products from Coke, Pepsi and 7UP based on cost. We cooked and served hot food in Perry. I did all the ordering, including the chicken, all sides, sauces, oils and dry material needed on a daily basis. Maintained all temp logs on the foods and cooler items between stores.
