  : I provided administrative and technical support services to the Office of Long Term Care (OLTC) in the monitoring of one of the largest contracts for the Department of Medical Assistance Service (DMAS). This includes ensuring that all regulations and policy criteria for health, safety and reimbursement issues are met according to contract policy and procedures for the Medicaid recipients, attendants and fiscal agent. I monitored the contractor’s processes of consumer direct (CD) services provided to Medicaid recipients. I reviewed and monitored invoices; complaints; operations reports, data; and consumer feedback. I conducted on-site operations review; sample the contractor’s data and work; review contractor policies and procedures; and provide technical assistance as necessary. Performed as the lead Specialist in monitoring the contractor’s enrollment, timesheet and payroll processes. Also, served as a consultant to all involved in the enrollment processes; I provide consultation to the provider agent (case manager or service facilitator); and technical assistance to the recipients and their attendants.   As a certified Medicaid provider, I perform transition coordination services for residents in facilities who have expressed an interest in returning to the community. I work with an array of professional staff in the medical field within facilities to coordination a smooth transition and discharge. I coordinate personal care services; secure appropriate housing; make purchases of needed furnishes, and coordinate all medical, DME, Adult Day Care, Environmental Modification and Assistive Technology services as needed. I also setup Consumer Directed Personal Care services for Medicaid clients in their homes that are assessed to be eligible for long term care services. I work with an array of professional and medical healthcare personnel in coordinating needed services for each client. I enroll clients in a Medicaid waiver, request service authorizations, develop plan of cares, conduct assessments and provide on-going training, etc. Show less
