      I worked as an intern in the company Guayapylanka (ecolodge) and the company Ecolanka producing a large diversity of exotic products in Sri Lanka. All the production is certified Biological and have the eco-label Forest Garden Product (FGP). The latter is really interesting because it insures that farmers are producing and restoring the environment at the same time.To learn more about FGP: https://www.analogforestry.org/our-work/accreditation/During my internship I helped to reference the plant species present in order to make recommendations for agricultural management (recommendation of plant species) in order to extend the FGP certified areas. In particular, I used qgis to represent the plant communities.workers on the production and transformation process (Kithul cordial, curry powder, urucum, mango jam and passion juice, management of the vegetable garden) and helped for the products' expedition.I also helped on the water system maintenance and I did a water filtration system with activated coconut charcoal. I also helped the company to find new outlets in order to sell Kithul cordial to hotels and I helped the company animating debates between the farmers. Show less

      Final internship at the international research center CIRAD.I worked on the influence of weeds on mycorrhizal diversity and the influence of mycorrhizal strains on Citrus growing parameters. I did a metagenomic, histologic and dendrometric study. Moreover I studied the agronomic potential of weeds (N fixation, C production, Biocontrol...)I was in charge of two experimentations in a greenhouse and I collected field samples, calculated mycorrhizal rates and I classified phylogenetically mycorrhizal strains in field conditions.       My work at CIRAD concerns the agroecological intensification of rice-fish farming in the highlands region of Madagascar. In order to be as close as possible to the farmers' problems, our research methodology is based on a participatory and action research approach. According to the requests of the beneficiariese we are working on the co-design of homemade fish feed. For this purpose, we carried out a diagnosis of the practices and the organic matter available for feeding. We also tracked down innovations. At the time of the restitution of these results, we will proceed to a co-design of fish feed. Show less
